SPACE PSYCHEDELIC CLINIC

Plan Your Trip

Safe, legal and affordable psychedelic care is easier to access than ever. This page will answer your questions on how to easily work with us here at Space.

Dr Lee here. Welcome to Space!

I designed Space Psychedelic Clinic as a science-based facility with a comfortable and laid back setting. We’ve become one of the most successful centers in the country!

Part of our success is how easy it is to plan a trip to Space, as about 2/3 of our clients are from out of state. Our facility is conveniently located right next to the Portland airport. We also proudly offer the lowest price for legal psilocybin facilitation in the state, and the country!

Choosing a Date for Your Facilitation

The planning all starts by choosing the time and date for your psychedelic facilitation.

We work seven days a week. Our morning sessions start at 9 AM on weekdays and 10 AM on weekends. We also offer 4 PM sessions on weekdays.

You’ll meet with your facilitator before your session for preparation! It’s important to talk about your intentions and get to know your therapist. We do these sessions by phone or by zoom call about a week before your session. Preparation sessions are generally scheduled by the facilitator AFTER booking is complete.

For folks from out of town, I recommend a minimum two night stay in Portland. I suggest arriving the night before your session and staying the night of your session as well.

Most people travel home the day after their session. I advise choosing a plan that allows for journaling and reflection the day after your session- that’s a key time point for formal psychedelic work.

I also recommend choosing a ‘soft landing point.’ Don’t choose a date where you return home to a ton of work or a lot of family responsibility.  Allow yourself a few days to process your experience before resuming the chaos of day-to-day life.

Choosing a Facilitator

Your facilitator is your ‘guide’ during your trip. Your facilitator will meet with you before and after your session, and they’ll be with you for the entirety of your psychedelic experience. You can check out our awesome staff here!

Many of the facilitators at Space have advanced credentials in health care. I’m a physician our staff members have degrees in social work, psychology, and nursing. While these credentials are comforting to many clients, I’ll point out that the qualities that truly make a good facilitator cannot be taught.

The most important thing for a facilitator to possess is a great amount of caring for another person, so much that they’d spend eight-ten hours on that other person’s problems. It is a true super power and I feel strongly that everyone on staff has it. The ones that don’t have already been dealt with.

50% of our clients have solid ideas about their facilitator and want to work with someone specific. Each facilitator’s calendar should be visible under their portrait, and during booking.

The other 50% of incoming clients don’t mind who they work with as much- maybe they’re more tied to a certain date or travel plan.

Staff members are usually happy to chat before booking. To arrange a conversation with a facilitator, it’s usually easiest to text Dr Lee at the office line so I can set it up. 503-498-8862!

Scheduling Your Session

If you know the date and facilitator you’d like to work with, you can put a deposit down on your appointment all by yourself! Our online scheduler is set up to take solo facilitation and public group facilitation bookings.

The scheduler will let you choose your date and facilitator, and place the deposit to hold the date for your session.  Your facilitator will be notified that they have a new client, and they’ll reach out to schedule preparation and introduce themselves. The remaining payment will be given directly to the facilitator!

Our package comes with one preparation and one integration session, and additional sessions can be booked during the scheduling process for a fee. We have some clients that develop an ongoing relationship with their facilitator and meet for integration periodically.

I usually send out the contract after clients schedule the session. If you’d like to see it before scheduling, here’s the page I’ve set up for it.

There’s a cancellation fee built into our contract! We are a true small business and each appointment is a big deal to us. That being said, I try to be fair during cancellation and rescheduling and don’t always charge the whole fee when it doesn’t make sense.

Accommodation and Transportation

HOTELS:

Most people will use an airport hotel! We’re about 8 minutes from the airport. The airport area is best described as, adequate. Ha! If you’re looking for nature, or have a plan to enjoy the city and culture of Portland, I’d choose a different option. But if you want a clean, affordable and convenient place to stay and take care of business, I’d use an airport hotel.

Best Western Pony Soldier Inn. Has funny name, is on a highway. It’s nice and it’s really cheap. A bit noisy. $80s.

Hampton Suites. Very decent hotel, very close to airport, inexpensive. $80s.

Homewood Suites. Particularly nice, $120 ish, near airport, 5-10 min drive

Staybridge Suites. it’s very nice, its about $130, near airport, 5-10 min drive

Not Recommended:

La Quinta Airport, it’s super cheap, $70s, but its by a highway and the airport, it’s noisy, and “it rattles”

Ramada, $69, people end up here all the time because its close and cheap. It’s gross and it will let you down. I recommend spending $20 more to get a better place.

SOME OF DR LEE’S FAVORITES

Mcmenamin’s Kennedy School, it’s interesting, it has events and a little culture to enjoy, its super cool and vibrant. $160s

Tiny Digs. An early client of ours used this and I love it! It’s a ‘hotel’ of about 20 tiny homes. It’s in a vibrant neighborhood in SE Portland. It gives a real *portland* vibe in my opinion. $110s

AIRBNB (WALKING DISTANCE):

These are a bit ‘luck of the draw’, since they’re in short supply, but being able to walk to your appointment is great. It’s invigorating to use your body for a short walk before or after tripping. Many will walk home after their sessions as well!

***The exact locations are just examples- the principle is what’s important.****

The Yellow Cottage. Upscale, entire guesthouse, about five blocks away. $169

Tiny Home in Parkland. About a half mile away, very cute tiny home. $92

Midcentury Haven. Half a mile away, has a dog (yes), superhost. $92. *PLEASE NOTE: This host only accepts reservations from people that already have several positive AirBNB reviews. If you are new to the site the host requests you choose another location

Hazelwood House. About four blocks away! Shared space, this is a private bedroom in a nice house. $85

AIRBNB (FOR NATURE LOVERS):

This is probably what I would do! I like homes, they’re inviting and interesting. And I would want to walk around in nature after my session. The two best parks for this are Laurelhurst and Mt Tabor, because they’re fairly close and in great Portland neighborhoods.

***The exact locations listed below are just examples- the principle is what’s important.***

Residences by Laurelhurst Park

Room in Sunnyside. Private room in a stunning house, excellent reviews, close to Laurelhurst, in the amazing Belmont neighborhood. I might move in. $69

Peaceful Garden Chalet in Laurelhurst. Private guesthouse, upscale, $185.

Residences by Mt Tabor

Studio Apartment by Mt Tabor. Private bedroom in a home, right next to Mt Tabor, great location. $126

The Prairie” Pin-up Motel. Affordable and nice looking room with private bathroom. Shared space with homeowners. $86

Transportation- Most people will use an uber or lyft to access the clinic from their accommodation.

Preparation

After you book your session, your facilitator will reach out to schedule your preparation session and introduce themselves. They’ll be your primary contact point!

I talk to clients often, and I enjoy it. There are some clients that talk to ol’ Dr Lee 3 or 4 times before they actually get to Space. You can call or text me at (503) 776-0938‬ during office hours and I’m happy to respond.

I’ve also made this page to aid in preparation! Feel free to check it out to see the extremely thorough preparation I suggest. While there’s no way to prepare perfectly, I’d suggest being able to have a frank conversation about your goals and intentions at the time of your preparation session. That’s a good checkpoint to look towards.

FAQ's

Frequently asked questions

Anyone over the age of 21 can use psilocybin services legally in Oregon. We see clients from out of state often, and are also able to see international clients.

The state of Oregon has some exclusion criteria- people that are taking Lithium, and people that have active suicidal ideation or active psychosis cannot use psychedelics.

Mushrooms are produced by state-certified mushroom manufacturers.

Mushrooms given through our clinic have been laboratory tested for psilocybin content, purity, and contamination.

Our package price includes access to up to 50 mg of psilocybin, which is about 7-8 g of mushrooms.

Not every person needs 50 mg of psilocybin. You and your facilitator will develop a plan together to decide how much psilocybin you take at first and as a booster.

We charge $900 for private facilitation. We charge $475 for group facilitation.

Our price is all-inclusive. It includes payment to our business, your facilitator, and for the medication and tax.

Your package includes the session itself, as well as a preparation and integration session with your facilitator

The scheduler is set up to take credit card, and you can contact the clinic directly to use other methods of payment.

Two session packages are available. For two sessions we charge a total of $1650. That’s $150 lower than the price for two individual sessions! To receive the discount for your second session, book your first session as typical, and use the code ‘SECONDSESSION’ to book your second session.

Psychedelics work better on non-consecutive days. I personally recommend a minimum of three days apart if you can, but we do have clients that take mushrooms two days apart, and have great experiences.

If you feel comfortable, You can make a deposit for a date using the appointment part of our website. You’ll be asked for $340 to reserve your date. You’ll be able to pay by credit card.

For alternative payment methods, feel free to call/text us at (503)498-8862.

For our public groups, which cost $475, you can book using the appointment tab. We have public groups 3-5 times a month.

For private groups, the charge depends on the number of people. Dr Lee does these bookings manually, and you can email or call us to get started.
