Why are you interested in working with psilocybin?

In my personal life, psilocybin has been tremendously helpful for me in processing and healing from decades of trauma, and I would not be alive today if I hadn’t found the healing power of mushrooms. I think psilocybin has immense potential to help in all areas and stages of life, opening doors to healing, growth, and true joy and gratitude. It is an honor for me to help others discover their own paths, and to continue to learn about what this powerful plant ally can do.

What are your professional interests?

I have devoted my entire professional career to the medical and mental health industries, but time and time again, I have been frustrated by the lack of personalized care and the close-minded attitude in an area that should be patient-centered and filled with curiosity. I was tired of hearing “this is just how it is, there is nothing we can do”. When Oregon legalized this amazing work, I knew that this was the opportunity I had been waiting for: to approach healing and growth with a focus on empowering clients, to help others see that happiness and acceptance are possible.

I specialize in providing an empathetic and judgement-free environment for survivors of trauma, and am always excited to learn more about how we can work with our minds and bodies instead of against them.

How Do You Prepare Clients for a Journey?

I hold at least one preparation session with every client (typically 45-90 minutes, depending on client needs), either over the phone or via video call, and focus on where each client is in their life and what their intentions for working with psilocybin are. I will typically talk about your mental and physical health, what has led you to seek psilocybin services, what journeying with psilocybin may be like, and address any questions you may have about the process. I strive to be a source of knowledge and comfort for my clients to ensure they feel prepared and supported.

What do you enjoy in your free time?

In my free time, I love to read, listen to music, cook and enjoy delicious food, and spend time in nature! I try to approach each day with gratitude and enjoy the presence of my pets and my loved ones.

How Do You Support Clients During Journeys?

I focus on creating a safe and steady container for each journey, taking time to settle in with each client at the start of the session to focus on their intention. I will typically practice breathwork or mindfulness exercises if this is something the client is interested in. During the journey, I generally remain quiet unless the situation requires my input, and allow you to listen to the music and follow your individual path. I can provide supportive touch such as a hug or handhold when requested if this is something that you have consented to during preparation, and am there to help you feel safe and secure. If you have specific needs, we will address these during preparation so I can support you as discussed.

Describe Your Integration Process!

I will check in with you (usually over text) in the days following your journey to see how you are doing and to schedule a time for an integration session if desired. I offer at least one integration session (typically 45-90 minutes, depending on client needs) for those that wish to utilize it. This can be over the phone or via video call, or for clients who are local to the Portland area, I am happy to meet in person if desired. We will typically go over, in your own words, what happened during your journey to address anything of note, and focus on how you can carry the lessons learned into your life moving forward.
